Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving company growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, increasing brand awareness, and expanding the customer base. This role involves strategic networking, prospecting, and collaborating with internal teams to meet sales goals and increase overall revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Building: Promote the company’s products and services to increase brand awareness by participating in networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows.
- New Business Development: Prospect new clients and generate business opportunities through outreach and cold calling, maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
- Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, preparing proposals, and following up to secure sales.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to develop business strategies, monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions, providing regular reports and forecasts on performance and pipeline status.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business, ensuring their needs are met.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align business development efforts with company goals and support marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales or business development.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, strong understanding of the sales cycle for services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
